Throughout the year you will find I only write about plus size swimwear styles with high ratings! Even so, most styles have their pros and con, and I do my best, using the current reviews at the time of each writing, to compile these pros and cons so you can make a more informed choice without reading most of the reviews.

Just My Size has a fine collection of fashion forward swimwear all made just for full figure women! You will find skirtini, tankini, swim separates but mostly a wide variety of one piece bathing suits, swimdresses, sarong styles, tank styles, swimwear that looks like Jogger or tankini swimwear, but is in fact one piece swimsuits. JMS has their own contouring swimwear, underwire swimwear, DD cup and chlorine resistant swimwear. They also have mastectomy styles and swimsuit cover-ups.

This skirtini and swimdress come in sizes 14W to 26W. JMS also has extended sizes, 28W to 32W, one piece, chlorine resistant, D cup and swimdresses.

Contouring Swimwear

Always for Me has this black Miraclesuit's Escape swimsuit, Miraclesuit's Touche color block one piece bathing suits and other styles in sizes, 16W to 24W. Bigger Bras, who usually find a 10% off discount code on their pages, has an assortment of women's Miraclesuit swimwear, some on sale.

Spanx swimwear comes in sizes 6 to 18 at Her Room and Bare Necessities. You will, currently, find one piece and tankini top Spanx swimwear styles at Her Room. Bare Necessities has most of the same styles, as well as a Spanx high waist swim brief, a swim skirt and a swimdress. Currently neither store has much in the way of reviews of these styles. The few that Her Room has are all excellent for fit, comfort and appearance!

The Importance of a Good Fit

A good fitting swimsuit, or any kind of apparel usually makes the difference between how, or even if, it flatters your figure. It also goes a long way in making you feel confident. I think it makes sense to shop Always for Me as a full figure woman. After all, they design swimwear just for full figure women. They even make changes based on wearer reviews!

There are other places that explain the advantages of swimwear features, such as Plus Size Swim Dress Swimwear's Figure Flattering Plus Size Swimwear article. Most stores at this site have similar info available to us well on their sites. I like to use the wearer reviews that show the woman writing them and I have a similar body type, or similar swimwear problems.

On a whole, there is much more information, as well as flattering styles out there for us full figure women than there used to be. Lets take advantage of it to feel and look our best!

D cup and Bra sized swimwear

If you need d cup swimwear now both Swimsuits for All and Always for Me carry it in sizes up to F cup sizes. Always for Me and Swimsuits for All have D and DD cup size swimwear by Coco Reef and sometimes Swimsuits for All has D and DD cup sized swimwear by Roxanne.

Always for Me's 2012 cup size swimwear still comes in cup sizes D, E and F in swimwear sizes 16W to 26W. However, this year their styles all offer soft cup, so far. Their 2011 styles, soft cup and underwire, are all on sale at 50% off

These tankini and skirtini are two of Always for Me's D, E and F cup sized swimwear styles for 2012.

How to Care for a Swimsuit

Once you have found a swimsuit you really like, take good care of it, or buy it in more than one color, if you can, or both!

Swimwear, unlike anything else you wear, is subject to the ill effects of chlorine, salt water, heat, as well as poolside abrasions and going from wet to dry repeatedly. Extra care is needed to keep your swimwear in good shape.

Use more than one swimsuit each vacation or swim season, at least two. If you really get into the hot tub a lot, have a separate swimsuit for that. Hot water and chlorine combined real kill fabrics, so use your cheapest, or already on its last legs swimsuit for hot tub wear.

Even if you have not swam all day rinse the swimsuit you wore today each time you wear it. Your sweat and sunscreen are also things that will be hard on your swimsuit's fabric. Just wear it into the shower and lather it up a soap that is gentle enough for your skin and rinse it well.

Always Hand, Never Machine wash: A swimsuit has many delicate components. why risk the excellent bust support your favorite suit gives, or its tasteful top stitching or other accents in an, even gentle, agitation washing machine cycle? Use a liquid detergent for delicate fabrics, soak your suit for 15 minutes, very gently scrub out tough white sunscreen stains, then rinse till the water runs clear.

Never Dry your swimsuit in the dryer. Never ring it out. Never hang it by its straps, the wet weight at the bottom will stretch it out. Hang it over the towel rack instead. If you are going to dry it outside, laying it on a slatted beach chair or the like, keep it in the shade, as sunlight will damage the material too.

A brief word about the controversy of whether MBT footwear really will help you tone up or not:

MBT footwear is heavier than other sneakers and sandals. If you wore them most of the time you walk, you would have to develop more muscle tone.
