I have been looking into full figure swimwear on eBay lately. What I have found so far, new, with or without tags, is priced on a par with Always for Me's sale section, or even regular priced swimwear and Swimsuits for All swimwear.

Occasionally you can find real savings on plus size swimwear at eBay stores. When I do I will post them at our Plus Size Swimwear 4 You blog. So far they have been, 2 out of 3, swimwear pieces you bid on. I only look at New With Tags swimwear, so that is the only condition of swimwear I will post there.

The Importance of a Good Fit

A good fitting swimsuit, or any kind of apparel usually makes the difference between how, or even if, it flatters your figure. It also goes a long way in making you feel confident. I think it makes sense to shop Always for Me as a full figure woman. After all, they design swimwear just for full figure women. They even make changes based on wearer reviews!

I like MyShape.com for other apparel fit tips, after you create your personal shopper, that is. Sadly, they do not have swimwear. Swimsuits for All has an excellent set of style selector videos. They even have one that covers how to measure for your swimsuit video. Except it does not cover all shapes, like inverted triangle, the way My Shape does with regard to other apparel. Maybe later?

There are other places that explain the advantages of swimwear features, such as Plus Size Swim Dress Swimwear's Figure Flattering Plus Size Swimwear article. Most stores at this site have similar info available to us well on their sites. I like to use the wearer reviews that show the woman writing them and I have a similar body type, or similar swimwear problems.

On a whole, there is much more information, as well as flattering styles out there for us full figure women than there used to be. Lets take advantage of it to feel and look our best!

D cup and Bra sized swimwear

If you need plus size d cup swimwear, now both Swimsuits for All and Always for Me carry it in sizes up to F cup sizes. Always for Me's cup size swimwear, like this black one below, tends to be soft cup. Swimsuits for all has underwire swimwear!

If you need d cup or larger cup swimwear one of the best places to shop is Bigger Bras. They have a very wide selection of Fantasie and Freya large cup, usually underwire support, bra sized swimwear. You'll find more info about bra sized and d cup and larger swimwear on our bra sized page. It's also where you'll find Bigger Bra's current discount code. Their discounts are on any size order!

I know for a fact that Fantasie bra sized swimwear fits, at least this, plus size woman. If your waist size is near your bra band size their swimwear will accommodate you.

Bigger Bras also has Anita Care cup sized swimwear for in full figure sizes.

Figleaves does carry Anita Care swim wear too. They carry a different, smaller, selection of bra sized Fantasie and Freya large cup swimwear. This year they have a wider variety of Panache bra sized swimwear.

How to Care for a Swimsuit

Once you have found a swimsuit you really like, take good care of it, or buy it in more than one color, if you can, or both!

Swimwear, unlike anything else you wear, is subject to the ill effects of chlorine, salt water, heat, as well as poolside abrasions and going from wet to dry repeatedly. Extra care is needed to keep your swimwear in good shape.

Use more than one swimsuit each vacation or swim season, at least two. If you really get into the hot tub a lot, have a separate swimsuit for that. Hot water and chlorine combined real kill fabrics, so use your cheapest, or already on its last legs swimsuit for hot tub wear.

Even if you have not swam all day rinse the swimsuit you wore today each time you wear it. Your sweat and sunscreen are also things that will be hard on your swimsuit's fabric. Just wear it into the shower and lather it up a soap that is gentle enough for your skin and rinse it well.

Always Hand, Never Machine wash: A swimsuit has many delicate components. why risk the excellent bust support your favorite suit gives, or its tasteful top stitching or other accents in an, even gentle, agitation washing machine cycle? Use a liquid detergent for delicate fabrics, soak your suit for 15 minutes, very gently scrub out tough white sunscreen stains, then rinse till the water runs clear.

Never Dry your swimsuit in the dryer. Never ring it out. Never hang it by its straps, the wet weight at the bottom will stretch it out. Hang it over the towel rack instead. If you are going to dry it outside, laying it on a slatted beach chair or the like, keep it in the shade, as sunlight will damage the material too.
