2 Underwire bust support styles of Fantasie Bra Sized Swimwear

And one full busted, plus sized, women's experience with them

Let me start off by saying I'm rather full busted. My best fitting bra is a Panache Super Tango II size 36HH. Yet I've been looking at mostly Fantasie and Freya underwire swimwear. Which seems to come in cup sizes up to GG at best. I only just recently found a good source of Panache bra sizes swimwear last week. I needed a swimsuit by June....I still don't know if Panache makes HH cup swimwear though.

The same thing happened last year. And even last year the underwire tankini I'd been eying went out of stock in it's G cup size. The Bra size I figured I'd have to make due with was 38G. So I settled for this one piece last year. And then it was not available in 36GG, as it is now. So I settled for a 38G.

Bust support it's the best! Still is in fact. Problem is I've go the inverted triangle shape. Or maybe as I was going with a larger band size to give my bust a bit more space some how...

For which ever reason the bottom half it too big. I quickly ordered a swim skirt to go over it. Being kind of shy and modest, yeah while wearing a plunge swimsuit. It worked.

Except I found, as a mother rushing in and out of the bathroom in a wet swimsuit to keep up with my then 6 year old... It's hard to pull on a wet underwire swimsuit quickly!

The Fiji underwire plunge one piece bust support style

But that is the Fantasie Fiji underwire plunge swimsuit. It's underwire support is a mesh bra cups with underwires. It starts at the suit's side seams. It has to because this swimsuit's back plunges a bit too! But I'm pretty short, maybe it has a moderate back, which is just low on me. Plus it's got a very thin foam at the outer half of each breast. I do not know if it was intended for shaping or extra support, or both. Wearing the suit, none of these support and or shaping features are visible!!

This swimsuit, for a HH cup woman wearing a G cup size is excellent. It feels like nothing at all! For me, I bulge a little bit out of the top. But it does not hurt, and I in no way get the impression my breasts will spill out of the swimsuit! and after years of wearing a bathing suit with a shelf bra, where you breast resemble one speed bump. I felt I looked much much better!

This year I was decided, no matter what, I'd get an underwire tankini! I watched carefully. When Fantasie's Moresco underwire tankini came back in stock in 36G, with a 15% off code, I ordered it! It showed up and I put it on to play in the sprinkler with my daughter. Goes well with last year's swim skirt!

The plunge style worked better for my bust. Both styles give great bust support, but the Fiji plunge style without the full built in bra is more comfy. This could be because I'm just too big for the available size. Or maybe it's such a pleasure having nothing much on my back! This time I ordered a 36G, rather than 38. I hate a loose bra band! The tankini, being a bit fuller coverage, can not really accommodate the difference between an HH cup and a G. Things we learn after the fact. But I still had better shaping than speed bumps, still felt good and I know my breasts won't fall out of this swim top.

Moresco underwire tankini bust support

This tankini has adjustable straps. Which is especially nice if, like me, you happen to be short! Upon taking it off I found that it has a full, mesh, underwire bra cups with 2 hook and eye back closure with 3 width positions! I now put it on the right way! So I won't wear it out quite as fast!

Next year, who knows maybe I can exercise my way to a more reasonable, and affordable, bra size! Or may be I'll find HH cup bra sized swimwear. Or maybe I'll settle for the Figi sweetheart neckline underwire tankini before it goes out of stock in the I can settle for it G cup size. Except, as I'm sure many plus size women are, I'm real tired of black!

Which one get the most wear? Even though it does not fit as good as the one piece, the tankini gets the most wear. Convenience, for me, beats fit apparently.
